Our hairdresser attends each Wednesday in the hair salon.

Jury Duty
You have the right to vote and participate in jury service should you be required. Our staff will assist you at these times to ensure that you make informed choices.

Library
The library is situated in Simmons Hall. Residents are invited to borrow books on an informal basis.

Mail
Inward: Mail is delivered directly to you. Outward: Mailboxes are available at Post & Office in the main street of Te Kauwhata, and at the Waerenga Road entrance to Aparangi. However, if the distance is too great then the red mailbox in the Residential Care Unit foyer may be used.

Newspapers
New Zealand Herald and Waikato Times are delivered upon request at resident's cost. Otherwise, a copy is available for general use, as is the local 'Chatter' delivered fortnightly and the weekly North Waikato News.

Podiatrist
The Podiatrist attends the Residential Care Unit regularly every six weeks.
|
|
Quiet Room
On other occasions - when privacy, reflection or prayer is desired - our 'Quiet Room' is a welcoming and special place. Just ask to use it.

Shopping
Available nearby (200 metres) in the Te Kauwhata town centre. If the distance is too far, please ask our staff and they will help.

Simmons Hall
Simmons Hall was especially designed and built to cater for special occasions are recognised as important, and no charge is made.

Talking Books
Available through the Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind. Speak to the Manager of the Residential Care Unit for more information.

Telephone
You are able to have your own direct dial telephone in your room. Charges and uses are available upon request.

Visitors
Visitors are welcomed at any time. Meals for visitors are readily available at low cost because we recognise the importance of our residents being able to offer hospitality to their guests.

Visitors Meals
We recognise it as important that our residents are able to offer hospitality to their guests. Thus, these are available on request (with reasonable notice) either for the main midday meal or a light tea in the evening. Prices are as advised.

Wheelchairs
Are available as needed. Please ask a staff member for assistance.
